Take a break from your Hospital appointments and join us as a family in our Ronald McDonald Family Room in Perth Children’s Hospital Fun on Four Precinct. Located on Level 4 of Perth Children’s Hospital, this Ronald McDonald Family Room is open 7 days a week, and is a refuge for families with sick or injured kids while visiting PCH for inpatient or outpatient appointments.

Family Room Features

This Family Room is a recreation space designed to meet the needs of all families. Kids can play and engage away from the clinics and ward and in our inviting space. In this Family Room we have a spacious Parent’s Retreat with free coffee machine access, a Teen Den with video and arcade games, a soft play and toddler zone, a cinema room, as well as zones for reading, exploration and arts & craft.

Family Room Zones

This Family Room has 7 distinct zones to meet the needs and interests of all families:

  • A Parent’s Retreat: with comfortable seating, free coffee machine access and a community library
  • Arts & Craft Zone: with daily craft activities including the PCH Artist in Residence Zone, Lego Building Station and more
  • Teen Den: with video games and arcade games
  • Cinema Room: with 3 movie screenings per day
  • Reading Retreat: a lounge area equipped with books, board games, card games and puzzles
  • A soft play and Toddler Zone
  • Explorer’s Zone: with sensory, construction and imaginative play as well as STEM activations

Who can use the Fun on Four Family Room at PCH?

We want to make sure families have a home-away-from-home inside the Hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward.

That’s why our Family Room was purpose built for the free and exclusive use of parents, carers, guardians and their families with kids undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment at Perth Children’s Hospital

The Ronald McDonald Family Room in Perth Children’s Hospital Fun on Four Precinct is located on Level 4 of Perth Children’s Hospital. The closest lifts to the Fun on Four Precinct are the Green and Pink lifts.

Ronald McDonald House Perth Children’s Hospital is a 14 bedroom house, located on Level 5 of the hospital. Stays within this house are allocated by PCH, and require a referral from a social worker or medical authority.
